VoG is the brainchild of real ale lovers Ian Teagle and Dave Walbeoff, who had long shared a dream to start a local brewery in the Vale of Glamorgan. Their dream became a reality in 2005 when they took the plunge and opened the VoG brewery based in Barry near Cardiff in South Wales. Their goal : to produce quality
Cask-Conditioned Ales
under the VoG brewery name.
Since then the VoG brewery has realised some notable successes, including Wheat's Occurin? - a fine cask-conditioned wheat beer with a refreshingly light taste being awarded 'Best Beer of Show' at the Cardiff Cider and Beer Festival 2008.
In July 2008 VoG released their range of
Bottle-Conditioned Ales
which are now available throughout Wales.
